Professional Fee Reimbursement

Reimbursement is provided for eligible USFA employees (with the exception of practicing physicians in the College of Medicine) who are required, as a condition of employment, to maintain a certification or license in order to perform their academic duties. Refer to Professional Expeses (Article 22.12.2) for details. 

Eligibility and Application Process

Please refer to the Guidelines for Reimbursement of Professional Fees for further information on eligibilty requirements and the application process.

The claim period is open from November 1, 2023-December 1, 2023 for the reimbursement of professional fees paid during the period of December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023.

Other Expenses

Accountable Professional Expense Account

Your Accountable Professional Expense Funds (APEF) shall be used to help defray expenses associated with teaching, research, and related professional activities in addition to other expenses. Refer to Professional Expeses (Article 22.12.1) for details.

Tuition Waiver

You may be eligible for Tuition Waiver. Refer to Tuition Waiver (Article 22.15) for details.

 Tuition may also be covered under your APEF (see above) as a Reimbursement of Educational Costs.
